Examination

A professional exam assesses candidates for their knowledge, skills, and ability to provide the various services required in the practice of interior design.  For most candidates, the exam process begins after a formal education in interior design and upon successfully completing several documented years of on the job supervised experience.

Oregon Registered Interior Design Professional Practice Examination

This exam will be the benchmark standard for Oregon Registered Interior Designers.

National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ)

NCIDQ serves to identify to the public those interior designers who have met the minimum standards for national professional practice by passing the third party administered NCIDQ examination.

For additional information on exemptions, grandfathering limits, rules after grandfathering, and other general questions, please visit the FAQ page or contact us.
